Holiday trash hauling schedule

Burgmeier’s Hauling observes the six major holidays throughout the year: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Collection schedules vary by service area. Here’s what you need to know for collection during a Holiday week:

In most service areas, put your trash out on your normal collection day. If that day is the holiday, your pickup moves to the following day. Put your trash out on your normal day, unless that day is the holiday, so you don’t miss pickup. Routes may run a day behind, but crews may catch up sooner.

In the City of Cumberland, collection days other than the holiday stay unchanged. There is no collection on the holiday. Trash scheduled for the holiday will be collected on the next normally scheduled collection day.

In the Centre County COG contracted area, any collection day that falls on or after the holiday will run one day late.
